Technical Details
The ZRI Series is a dedicated relief valve designed to handle explosive pressure surges that can occur in the intake manifold of dual-fuel (DF) engines during gas mode operation.
DF engines use both LNG (natural gas) and heavy fuel oil. If unburned gas accumulates in the gas fuel intake system, there is a risk of explosion. The ZRI Series addresses this risk with an opening pressure precisely adjustable between 3.5 and 6.3 bar, operating reliably at temperatures between 40 and 60°C.
Through CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) and structural analysis, the optimized flow path minimizes the impact on internal components during pressure release and improves repeated operation reliability. Five models from ZRI-98 to ZRI-266 accommodate various intake manifold bore diameters.
